I come down to Alpine several times a year to get away and go to Big Bend. I always stay at Sunday House Inn. The rooms are out dated but unlike the last review I am realistic. They care about thier guest and the way the hotel looks, they are currently remodeling the hotel giving it a complete over haul and have been working on it for a while. The rooms are still clean, well kept and the service is great. The mattereses and sheets are new. The owner is a nice guy who is only rude when customers are either rude first or make unreasonable demands. The bottom line they keep this place clean and nice for a great price!!!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and was very pleased with my experience. This hotel is being renovated so some rooms may still be a work in progress. My room was exceptionally large with new furnishings and a very comfortable King bed. The reception and breakfast areas are new, very clean and as nice as you will find in any motel. The breakfast is more than adequate. Having checked the prices and appearance of other hotels in Alpine I would say this is probably the best value in town.

This hotel has been in the process of being remodeled over the last couple of years. Many improvements have been made and the room was nice except for the bathroom, which needs to be completely redone. The bed was comfortable and the room was… pleasantly quiet. A good overall value, not a destination hotel yet but a good place to stay the night.

Our room (121) was huge for less than $80.00. The place was clean with clean linen and towels. Despite the other reviews about the guy at the front desk, Mr. Bahkta was cordial and accomodating to my wife and I. We had a pleasant stay. What I really appreciate was how Mr. Bahkta and his staff went out of their way to send us an heirloom pillow of my wifes father who had passed away. She had left it behind and was torn apart about it. I called Mr. Bahkta and he graciously returned it via mail at his first opportunity. I cannot thank him enough for the gesture. Give this place a chance, you will not be disappointed.

I was very pleased. The room was large and very roomy, nice furniture, micrwave, refrigerator, was very clean. We got in late and left early but we were totally satisfied and would recommend anyone staying there.
