Great Seafood. I was driving through the Nederland area visiting some family while on my way to the casinos. I asked around for suggestions for a good place to eat. Everyone kept saying, " The Schooner!" So, I complied and made my way over. Everything was Great! I got their Gumbo for an appetizer (huge portion),garden salad, and I had the snapper which was super fresh tasting. I added a topping of crabmeat which made it that much more enjoyable. While enjoying my dinner I was told by my server the "American Dream" story of the Greek family that owns the restaurant. This is a definite destination restaurant. If you want fresh Seafood, Great Service, Friendly Family Atmosphere you MUST visit The Schooner.
